South Florida Parenting presents its seventh annual Back to School Splash at The Falls; a free event for families with kids 12 and under. The event draws thousands of families who enjoy a free "splash of summer fun" while shopping for their back-to-school needs at The Falls. The Falls Shopping Center is anchored by Macy's and Bloomingdales, and is home to many kids' retailers, such as Gap Kids, Justice, and Stride Rite, as well as Regal Cinema and restaurants.

The Back to School Splash features an outdoor activity area with paddle boats, dunk tank, Florida hands on crafts, face painting, hamster balls, a car wash inflatable, and balloon art by Miami Children's Theater and a treasure hunt with prizes. Costumed characters, magic shows and stage entertainment add to the fun. Family-friendly exhibitors provide free kids' activities, give-aways and information on their products and services.
