At the nest, we often tell parents they are the experts of their children. We believe that each family is capable of discovering their style of discipline, their values, and day to day routines. When families visit our workshops we tell them there is no one “recipe” for helping little ones develop. That being said, we do have our parenting book favorites! We invite you to join us for our first parenting book club. In this book club we will introduce one of our favorite parenting books written by Dr. Dan Siegel. Dr. Dan Siegel, is a Harvard /UCLA trained doctor who has spent most of his career researching human relationships and family interactions. Through research, Dr. Siegel and his team discovered the idea of integrating different sciences (i.e. Biology, Sociology, Neurobiology, Psychology, and Human Development)and using it to discover and understand the different patterns of human interaction and how it is attached to the developing brain. The book Parenting from the Inside Out is his gift to parents to use this science on a day to day basis with their children. We will meet once a month and discuss a chapter together. This group is for ADULTS ONLY, cost is $20. Please come prepared to discuss chapter 2 and Chapter 3.
