With a move from San Francisco five years ago, she has embraced the Miami Beach mom lifestyle. If Gretchen cannot be found with her daughter at the beach, Flamingo park pool, or lunching on Lincoln, she is WODing at Crossfit Miami Beach, or snatching up gear at the Lululemon showroom. While at home, Gretchen and Ryan enjoy baking (eating cookie dough), crafting with cardboard boxes (I love dioramas!), and dancing to Katy Perry (we're a tutu a day household).
- Jennifer Butler Timko. Jennifer lives in Miami Shores with her husband and two kids, Bella (3) and Honor (18m). She's happy to be the third generation in her family to be raising kids in the Shores. Jennifer is both a stay at home mom and a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice, working with a variety of populations and specializing in pregnant & postpartum women with mood disorders, children and families. Jennifer is also very involved in her community and in several mommy groups.
- Pamela Espinal. Pam is a stay at home mother of two beautiful baby girls. She loves making memories with her daughters and is always looking for opportunities to teach and expose them to everything this beautiful world has in store for them.
- Leni Guzman. Leni grew up in Miami, Florida and now lives in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She is the mother of a precious two-year-old princess named Brooklyn. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, niece and nephew and looks forward to inspiring others to spend time with their children and providing them with a fun and educational childhood as well as life lasting memories.
- Gillian Knight. Gillian lives in Miami by way of NYC. She's in love with her three active kiddos, a busy hubby & a puppy in tow and is currently assisting her hubby with his company Signature Home Theaters. Gillian is a stay at home mom, but considers herself a domestic engineer, always creating, fabricating and designing. She loves being a social butterfly meeting new friends and attending fun events.
- Lisa Jacobson. Lisa has lived in South Florida for most of her life. She and her husband David have two children, Adam age 4 and Rachel age 2. Lisa recently left her long time job at University of Miami, where she was the Director of Business Operations and is now looking for new opportunities that will allow her to spend more time with her family, but she is still an avid Canes fan! She has also recently rediscovered her love of spinning and frequently attends classes at FlyWheel. She is a full-time marketing professional who lives for the weekends to enjoy time with the kiddies. Always looking for fun and unique activities, Sonia and her family enjoy visiting Jungle Island, Flamingo Park, the library and, of course, the beach!
- Denise Malvehy. Denise grew up in Miami and after living away for 15 years, moved back home in 2011. With the relocation, Denise left her full-time job as a marketing manager in the medical device industry and now works from home as a marketing consultant, which allows her to spend more time with her almost 3 year old son, Miles. Denise lives in Coral Gables with Miles and her husband, Albert, and soon another baby boy who is due in September.
- Jennifer McDonald. Jennifer is a former kindergarten teacher and a first time mommy! After a long maternity leave, Jennifer decided to leverage her love for health and fitness to open Baby Boot Camp Miami Beach in May, 2012. She's currently trying to juggle the first year of motherhood and starting up a business, but says it's so worth it! She looks forward to being an active mommy to the community and continue to support any great causes that come our way.
- JennyLee Molina. Jenny is a first time mom to a precocious two-year old boy who also juggles a full-time role as a communications professional at JLPR, her boutique public relations and digital marketing agency. She is passionate about women and children issues including natural birthing and breastfeeding, art, live music and everything Miami. As a proud product of South Florida, JennyLee often volunteers in community initiatives and lends her business resources to benefit various non-profit organizations. You can find her "rambles on mommyhood" and more at RookieMommyRamblings.com where she blogs weekly or follow her on Twitter: @jennyleeisme.
- Erica Nahmad. Erica, a native New Yorker, currently lives in Miami, Florida, and is perpetually trying to adjust to life in sunny South Beach. She is a wife and mother to a delicious boy named Owen and a furry black girl (read: puppy) named Sydney. After years of working in the magazine industry, most recently working with a very important and famous O (Oprah Winfrey) she left the biz to work for a slightly less famous but equally important O (Owen). She could not survive without Dunkin Donuts coffee, red wine and any/all vampire TV shows. And sometimes when time gets tough (or she has to pee) she uses Dora the Explorer as a babysitter. No judgment! On a typical day she can be found roaming the beach path that is steps from her new home, forcing herself to cook a homemade dinner and playing with her two babies (furry and not) in the park. And when not on baby/poopy/puppy duty she’s most likely teaching (or riding in) a Flywheel indoor cycling class at Flywheel Miami Beach. If you’re in the South Beach hood, be sure to book a bike in her class!
- Vanessa Ressler. Vanessa is an international marketer by trade and theatre enthusiast at heart, but has temporarily hung up that hat to be a mostly full-time mom, wife, Music Together/parent & child teacher, and passionate volunteer (husband may disagree on this order). She is always on the hunt for the best family opportunities in Miami and environs, and has been using Munchkin Fun since the site's inception.
- Durée Mellion Ross. Durée is a seasoned PR professional with a broad spectrum of experience spanning the corporate, agency and non-profit arenas for local, national and international clients. A University of Miami graduate, she presently resides in Ft. Lauderdale with her husband, son and daughter. In 2010, Durée was honored as an Outstanding Mother of the Year by Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies.
- Cecilia Rodriguez-Marzo. Cecilia is a stay-at-home mom to 8-month-old Liam Archer. Born and raised in the Miami area, Cecilia is constantly looking for baby-friendly events and activities to enjoy, especially when we have beautiful sunny days. Cecilia is also a writer and freelance blogger, primarily for baby/parenting and women's health magazines.
- Maria Roure. Born in San Francisco (of Uruguayan descent), Maria lived in Uruguay for 15 years, moved to Fort Worth, Texas for a few years then moved to Miami in 2002. Maria is a proud 24/7 toddler mom who loves that her 2.5-year-old daughter reminds her everyday not to take life for granted, to appreciate the many blessings...that its time to stop and smell the flowers and sit on the ground in a white dress to play with dirt and that twig...and yup, even with that snail...that its time to be a princess and everything else.
- Maria Tettamanti. Maria is a writer for Miami.com, The Miami Herald and TheHuffingtonPost.com. She's also a fashion and style blogger on her personal blog TheWordyGirl.co. But let's be honest here — she spends most of playing mom to a daughter and son under age 5.
- Janet Velez. Janet is a working mother of two originally from Rhode Island. She enjoys exploring Miami on the weekends with the kiddies (so they don't destroy the house!). Their favorite place so far is Zoo Miami's new splash zone.
