Win Your Own American Girl

American Girl makes its Miami debut this weekend and Munchkin Fun is celebrating with a big, girly giveaway. Treat your munchkin to the brand’s newest historical character, Caroline Abbot. Caroline is brave, independent and adventurous – just like your munchkin. Comment below about why you’d like to win the doll. We’ll announce a winner Tuesday, Oct 9.

In the meantime, check out American Girl’s grand opening info, seek adventure on a historical character scavenger hunt or get creative at a Bitty twins' ballerina paper doll craft.

When we visited my niece for her b-day in D.C. with my daughter we visited the American Girl doll store and my daughter was thrilled. My sister bought her daughter the Hawaiian doll we chose a dog and an outfit for my niece's gift. I saw what joy this doll was for my neice, would love for my daughter to have one of her own!

As a child, I loved the American Girl books. I saved all my books for my future children. Now that I have my little Zöe, I know she's going to love the books, and the doll, as much as I do.

My two daughters do not own American Girl dolls yet, however, they have been begging for about two years now. The brand seems to be very genuine and promotes a positive self image for all young girls. From the hero video story contest to the feel-good movies, I would not be hesitant to allow my girls to play with these dolls. We hope to surprise them with their very first American Girl dolls this Christmas.

So cute! My daughter doesn't know about AG, but they are gorgeous! This would be so lovely for her, and I would love to see her play with such an adorable doll. Ive never had one since my parents couldn't afford it, but I would love to be able to say that I gave one to my Lily.

My daughter would love this. She has been wanting an American Doll forever. This would be a great surprise for her.

My daughter loves dolls! She doesn't know about AG yet but I think she would love this doll, I've been wanting to get her one but they're kind of pricey.

Guess whose birthday it is this week, my daughter. She will be 5 and we can't wait to go together shopping for her first american girl doll at the falls!!!

Ever since the American Girl Doll catalog arrived in our mailbox last month, my daughter Madison has been begging for one.
In fact, Caroline is the one she likes the most. We took a trip to Denver this weekend and at our hotel, the Westin, they had the doll in a glass box next to a contest form to fill out in order to try and win it. Of course she was super excited about the prospect so I filled out an entry form. Every day she wanted to go see the doll and see if she had won it yet. I would love love love for her to win the munchkin contest as the odds are much better and the doll is the one she really wants. I think the doll brand is adorable and promotes good values and a glimpse of different eras for girls. With the opening of the new store in Miami it would be so much fun to have a doll and be able to accessorize it there with all the cute add ons!

This would make an amazing Christmas surprise for our daughter. She has some baby dolls, but it is so hard to find tasteful older looking dolls. Most of them have skimpy clothes, crazy makeup, or are gothic. I remember playing with my friend's American Doll when I was younger and all the doll's accessories were so realistic looking. I love that the whole American Girl line is about encouraging girls to be heroes and stand up for what they believe in.

These are beautiful dolls associated with great stories. Finally dolls that promote good morals in a nice way. I wish there were more things like this for our young girls. My daughter doesn't have these dolls yet, but I think it is a great way to start a doll collection as well as promote reading.

My 2-year old daughter has a 4-year old brother who LOVES trains and since we are a single-income family it's difficult for us to afford new toys so she plays with trains a lot. We would love for her to have a doll to play with! A lot of time, attention and money goes to her big brother because he has special needs so it would be wonderful for her to have something special of her very own!

My daughter is turning one this month. I would love to give her an American Gilr doll for her birthday!

I would absolutely love to win this for my 6 year old daughter, ever since we went to the American Girl store she has been begging me to get one for her! It would be so great to give it to her for Christmas this year!

by Hmariee @ Oct. 1, 2012, 11:33 p.m.

I was trying my best to keep American Girl Dolls a secret from my daughter, but someone at school brought the catalogue and we've been hearing about how much my 4 year old needs one ever since—for one year now. One year of how beautiful they are, how fun their clothes are, how great all the accessories are. This would def fill a much-talked-about void in my kiddo's toy box.

by gingerharris @ Oct. 2, 2012, 8:39 a.m.

My daughter loves American Girl. She has the Itty Bitty Baby and loves putting her to sleep, rocking and feeding her. She loves looking at all the dolls on the website. I can't wait for the store to open. I know she would love to win an American Girl doll!

My daughter would love an American Doll! She browses the catalog every time it arrives in the mail!!! She works so hard and is becoming such a sweet girl!

by jenluck123 @ Oct. 3, 2012, 12:49 p.m.

I love the American Girl books when I was a kid. I never had one of the dolls, but I remember drooling over the catalog. I would love to give this to my oldest for Christmas!

by Saltwife @ Oct. 4, 2012, 3:43 p.m.

We have been receiving the catalog about American Dolls for 2 years. My two girls (5,7) would get very quite sitting in their room looking through the magazine. After a while they would come out and said:"Look mom, this one looks just like me. Can I have the American Doll for Christmas?" than they would cut out the doll they wish and put on the wall next to their bed.

I think American Girl Dolls should be included on your Baby Shower registry list...every girl in America should have one!
They are so adorable and feminine. It's a doll that will always be part of your girl's life (no matter her age), my daughter will be so thrilled to have a Twin American Girl Doll. This will be the best gift ever!!!

I would love to win this for my little girl! I always wanted an American Girl Doll when I was younger but never got one. It would be fun to watch her play and enjoy one of her own. I love how classic they are and all of the stories they come with.

by Felicia_R @ Oct. 5, 2012, 12:26 p.m.

I had the pleasure of traveling to NYC with my niece (now 15) and feel her excitement as she picked out her AG doll and we actually had lunch in a beautiful cafe with the dolls. Now I am so excited to take my almost 3 year old to the opening here in Miami where I'm sure she will fall in love with these dolls! I would love for her to win one and share the stories with her! Her bday is coming up on the 16th and it would be such a wonderful present!

I would love to win an American Girl doll for my 8 year old daughter, Miranda. She has been really struggling with reading and lately she's been trying so hard to improve her reading. I promised her that I would take her to dine at the new American Girl store to celebrate her hard work and achievement. Today, I made a dining reservation for October 28 and it would be wonderful to reward her also with a new American Girl doll. She really deserves it!!!

by aidarumba @ Oct. 5, 2012, 3:35 p.m.

My daughter wanted one for her birthday in June, but they're pretty pricey. We promised one for Christmas, told her we were going to help Santa make
one for her. We've been saving up since. It would be amazing to win an American Girl for her, she would be so thrilled! To see the look in her eyes when she finally gets to hold her own American Girl doll...priceless!!!
