  1. Start the conversation<\/strong>. Camp is a mystery to some kids. Make it tangible by walking them through the details – tell them what they’ll pack in their backpacks, how drop off & pick up will work, who will be with them and what they’ll do all day. Ask the camp for a schedule so you can be detailed.<\/li>\n
  2. Pack comfort food<\/strong>. If you’re packing lunch, sneak in one or two of your little one’s favorites for the first week. If not, ask about sending a special snack.<\/li>\n
  3. Orient your little one<\/strong>. Take a tour of camp with your child. See the facilities, meet the director and, if possible, see his\/her classroom. The more your little one knows what to expect on day 1, the better.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
