What are your top 3-5 tips for a successful photo shoot with kids?<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Kids don’t always like surprises. Let your children know you have something special planned a day or two prior to your session. Convey the fun your family will have together, while being careful not to put too much pressure on them to be \u201cperfect.\u201d<\/li>\n
  2. Let the session unfold naturally. Kids can become anxious when they’re put on the spot to perform for the camera. A professional photographer will know how to draw the best out of your children without overwhelming them.<\/li>\n
  3. Focus on the fun you can have as a family during the session. If you’re relaxed and eager, your children will feel that and relax and have fun, too.<\/li>\n
  4. A strategic shared promise you know your child will enjoy can work wonders if you reach a point of no cooperation. A treat of ice cream afterwards, a trip to a favorite playground or some extra screen time can be just enough to motivate your child through the rest of the shoot.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What are your top 3-5 favorite locations for a South Florida photo shoot?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Beach! Beach! Beach!<\/li>\n
    2. A beautiful garden or park<\/li>\n
    3. Your own backyard where everyone is relaxed and at ease<\/li>\n
    4. Quiet city streets<\/li>\n
    5. A modern hotel lobby (as long as you have permission)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      What are the best colors to wear in a family photo shoot?
      \n<\/strong>Everyone’s color preference varies, so there is no universal \u201cbest\u201d color. I always tell the mom to pick her outfit first, something that makes her feel fabulous. Then she can coordinate everyone else around her choice.<\/p>\n

      Matching outfits in a family photo shoot: Yay or nay? Why?
      \n<\/strong>Matching outfits, such as the outdated khakis and white shirts, are easy but definitely lack the personality and dynamic visual appeal found in outfits with a bit more variety. Coordinated looks and styles work best. Choose a color palette that flatters your family, such as rich jewel tones or soft pastels, and add in pops of color with scarves, awesome shoes, large jewelry or fun layers.<\/p>\n
