Time to shop and save during the 2022 Florida Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday!

2022 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will help families by offsetting some of that increase so students can have the supplies they need for a successful start to the school year. Florida families are expected to save about $100 million between July 25 to Aug. 7, according to research group Florida TaxWatch.

When does the tax free holiday run?

The tax holiday period begins on Monday, July 25, 2022, and ends on Sunday, August 7, 2022. During the back-to-school holiday, most school supplies that cost $50 or less will be exempt from sales taxes.

The holiday also will apply to clothing, shoes and accessories selling for $100 or less and learning aids and jigsaw puzzles that cost $30 or less. Sales taxes also won’t be collected on some big-ticket items, such as personal computers selling for $1,500 or less.
