Every once in a while a field trip is in order. Pack up the car & head to these 5 parks for an adventure to remember…
- 15 acres of birds, wildlife, reptile and nature education await at Sense of Wonder Nature Center at A.D. Doug Barnes Park. Tip – go during the week to avoid birthday party crowds
- Learn to milk a cow, wander crop fields, cast fishing lines and travel back to the Florida farming days at Bill Graham Farm Village at Amelia Earhart Park.
- Take an underwater adventure at Biscayne National Park. Snorkel, scuba, canoe, kayak or take a glass bottom boat tour through “America’s first underwater park.”
- Feast on 27 types of mangoes, 40 different kinds of grapes and 80 varieties of bananas at Fruit & Spice Park. U-pick is prohibited, but any fruit that’s fallen on the ground is fair game, as is the tasting table at the visitor’s center (don’t miss the free mangosteen).
- Explore 1,000 acres of trails, butterfly gardens ad mountain biking at Oleta River Park.
Happy adventures – let us know if we can help with anything!
