  • Apollo Beach Nature Park. Apollo Beach is a 63-acre Preserve at the northern terminus of Apollo Beach.   The west side, facing Tampa Bay, has been developed for recreational activities, while the eastern portion has been restored to natural habitat.  This habitat consists of dunes, islands, tidal marshes, and mangrove swamps.
  • Bakas Equestrian Center. Bakas offers horseback riding to children and adults and specializes in those with disabilities. Operated by the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department, the program provides group riding lessons, trail rides, carriage riding, parties and special events.
  • Big Cat Rescue Sanctuary. Big Cat Rescue is a non-profit sanctuary to 80+ exotic cats. What makes us different is we are working to end the trade in wild cats
  • Croc Encounters. Croc Encounters is an educational facility as well as an animal sanctuary. Croc Encounters is home to hundreds of rescued animals at our 22-acre facility
  • Florida Aquarium. The Florida Aquarium opened in 1995 with a mission to entertain, educate and inspire stewardship about the natural environment. The Aquarium offers programs and conservation initiatives that focus on coral reef research, sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation, river otter rescue and rehabilitation, providing environmental and conservation education.
  • Giraffe Ranch. Giraffe Ranch in Dade City, Florida you’ll experience first hand, the lives of giraffe and other species from around the world living under huge live oaks in a setting that is right out of Africa.
  • Great Florida Birding & Wildlife Trail. This 2,000-mile, self-guided highway trail connects and unifies 515 birding and wildlife viewing sites throughout Florida. Modeled after the successful Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail, this ambitious project features detailed guide booklets, a mobile device application, and special highway signs identifying GFBWT sites.
  • HorsePower for Kids. A wide variety of quality riding programs, camps, and interaction in a fun and wholesome environment for horse and rider are available to the general public. We teach programs on all aspects of horse care: grooming, feeding, training, and horseback riding all in a farm setting.
  • Lowry Park Zoo. The Zoo emphasizes endangered, threatened and vulnerable species from climates similar to that of the Tampa Bay region, with park areas devoted to Asia, Africa, Australia and Florida. Additional areas exhibit primates and birds. Exhibits balance support for the maximum well-being of the animals with the importance of the guest experience in relation to our mission. Keeper talks, animal encounters, behind-the-scene tours, and other special experiences expand the Zoo’s opportunities to promote a connection to the living earth.
  • Manatee Viewing Center. The Manatee Viewing Center’s mission is to educate the public about the Florida manatee and its habitat. The center is a state and federally designated manatee sanctuary
  • Old McMickey’s Farm. Come join us for a fun-filled professionally guided tour of our beautiful lakeside farm- walk ins and groups are always welcome- amazing kid’s birthday parties, company picnics, private parties, beautiful weddings, and more
  • Red Fox Stables. Red Fox Stables is a family owned and operated horse facility. Your riding experience begins with a short demonstration to show you how to mount, dismount, and handle your horse. You then are then lead by an experienced adult guide who will take you on your adventure where you may see deer, armadillos and pigs along the way.
