Parkfest Love & Music Day @ Plantation Heritage Park

Music, like a foreign language, is best learned when young. The members of the Florida Youth Orchestra are living examples, and a hundred of them will bring the inspiration of music to Plantation Heritage Park on Sunday, February 16th, for the free annual ParkFest Love & Music Day.

The orchestra and special guest Nestor Torres, a Grammy-winning jazz flutist who’s also the orchestra’s current Artist-in-Residence, will be the headliners, performing from 2:30-4pm, with The Fuzz!, the Plantation Police band, as the opening act from 1-2:30pm. David Oson will be the emcee.

Other activities include food trucks, kids’ activities, the FYO’s Instrument Play Pen, and beer and wine concessions. This concert is set in an open green space, so bring your own blankets or lawn chairs. No seating is provided. Outside food, beverages, or coolers are not permitted, and pets should be left at home. A limit of one backpack or purse will be in effect.
