Free Resources
Vouchers for Free Lessons. State vouchers administered by the Florida Department of Health will be available for families with children aged 4 or younger, provided their income does not exceed 200% of the federal poverty level. The application period for 2026 ended on March 20, 2026 but stay tuned for when it will reopen.
Drowning Prevention Coalition of PBC. The Drowning Prevention Coalition provides vouchers for free/reduced cost swim lessons for qualified children ages 2-12. Vouchers are provided on a first come / first served basis. A maximum of two vouchers are available per child for their lifetime (3 vouchers if the child is special needs). Second vouchers will be denied if the child does not attend all lessons in the first session.
Hope Floats Swimming Scholarships. Hope Floats partners with high-quality swim schools to provide scholarships for swimming lessons for children. Hope Floats raises money by partnering with individuals, businesses, and foundations that want to be a force for good in their communities. Scholarships and tuition assistance is provided to children who might not otherwise be able to afford swim lessons. For scholarship inquiries, please contact us at [email protected].
The Y’s Safety Around the Water Program is offered year-round at pre-approved sites throughout Palm Beach County and offered to qualified groups at no cost. This program is evidence-based and developed on a foundation of “Safety First, Swim Second,” and is geared for ages 3–17. Our YMCA also offers Safety Around the Water initiatives throughout the year to our community, which includes FREE swim lessons for youth.
